November 9th is the 32nd National Fire Protection Day. The Office of the State Council Work Safety Committee has decided to launch the Fire Awareness Month nationwide in November, with the theme of "prevention first, life first". In response to the call of the National Fire Protection Month, the Shanghai Sunlong Safety Committee launched the "Emergency Plan Exercise for Fire Accidents in Office Buildings and Spray Painting Rooms" on November 10th.
After simulating a fire accident in the auxiliary office building on the 5th and 2nd floors, as well as in the information room and paint spraying room of the office building on the 2nd floor, personnel from various departments entered the emergency evacuation and rescue process.
At 9:00 in the morning, the drill officially began. A simulated fire accident occurred in the office on the 5th and 2nd floors of the auxiliary office building. The on-site coordination notified the drill personnel to issue alarms on the 5th and 2nd floors, using centralized fire alarm devices for emergency evacuation broadcasting and handheld horn warning bells to sound the alarm.
After Bi Chaoyue discovered that the computer in the information room was on fire and igniting surrounding combustibles, he immediately called the on-site command and used the carbon dioxide fire extinguisher in the room to extinguish the fire.
After hearing the alarm, the drill personnel in each office will follow the direction indicated by the fluorescent sticks of the evacuation command personnel on each floor and evacuate in an orderly manner from the stairs on both sides of the office building.
After evacuating personnel downstairs, they should quickly and orderly move towards the emergency evacuation gathering point on the east square from the road in front of the office building, and gather on a departmental basis. Each department should designate a dedicated person to quickly count the number of people and report to the on-site command.
The communication and contact group immediately notified the emergency team leaders by phone to carry out emergency work, and relevant rescue personnel rushed to the scene for disposal. The evacuation and rescue team has set up warning and isolation lines at the north and south ends of the road on the east side of the office building, and arranged for dedicated personnel to guard and prohibit unrelated personnel from entering and exiting.
After receiving the notice, emergency action team members and volunteer firefighters immediately put on firefighting uniforms, bring emergency rescue equipment, and go to the second floor of the office building for search, rescue, and firefighting disposal.
During the search and rescue process, a unconscious and fallen person was found in the office of the Production and Manufacturing Department. The emergency rescue personnel immediately transferred the injured person to a designated location, and the medical rescue team provided emergency treatment and prepared a vehicle for medical treatment.
The person in charge of the human resources department immediately contacted the injured person's family by phone according to the emergency contact person in the employee's file for notification and comfort.
After the office building fire was disposed of and the injured were sent to the hospital for treatment, all participants gathered at the East Square and the on-site commander reported the emergency response situation to the overall commander. Some personnel in the East Square will receive practical training on the use of fire-fighting equipment. Safety officers will explain the precautions for using fire-fighting equipment on site, and personnel from various departments will simulate fire extinguishing on site.
After the practical operation, the overall commander summarized the experience of this drill and pointed out that this fire drill is a test of the company's Emergency Plan for Sudden Safety Incidents. Through practical operation, employees truly master the basic methods of rapid self rescue, escape, and mutual rescue in danger, improve their ability to resist and respond to emergencies, and the entire drill activity has achieved the expected goals.
