Building competitive advantages in overseas markets, Shanghai Sunlong signs pure electric chassis order with Thailand

Thailand is China's fourth largest trading partner, fourth largest export market, and fourth largest source of imports in ASEAN. In recent years, with the continuous introduction of favorable foreign trade policies by the Thai government, Sunlong Automobile has seized this market opportunity and continued to increase efforts to deepen the development of the Thai market.

Recently, Shanghai Sunlong reached a cooperation agreement with a well-known enterprise in Zhejiang and signed the first batch of 100 10 meter pure electric bus chassis export orders to the Thai market, with an order amount of about 60 million yuan. In addition, Shanghai Sunlong is carrying out deeper cooperation with the company and plans to establish an overseas KD factory in Thailand within the year.

On the morning of July 5th, Mr. Suttiluk Buncharoen, Chairman of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) of Thailand, led a delegation to visit Shanghai Sunlong Bus Co., Ltd., focusing on the company's core competitive capabilities in technology research and development, production and manufacturing, and after-sales services. Mr. Sutila Bangcharen had a cordial and friendly discussion and exchange with Mr. Wang Fumin, President of the Automotive Industry Group. Mr. Sutila Bangcharun introduced that the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) is the only national level economic zone in Thailand, covering the provinces of Chonburi, Rayong, and Chachoengsao in the east. As a key component of the "Thailand 4.0" strategy, the Eastern Economic Corridor aims to promote Thailand's transition to a high-income, innovation driven economy and help Thailand achieve its vision of becoming a developed country by 2037. Mr. Sutila Bangcharun explained to Mr. Wang Fumin the urgent demand for new energy vehicles in the Thai market, especially in ports, airports, sanitation, logistics, schools, and corporate groups, which require a large amount of investment. At the same time, he emphasized the need for charging facilities and improved after-sales support.

Mr. Sutila Boncharen stated that the on-site inspection of Shanghai Sunlong has further strengthened his confidence in continuing to cooperate with Sunlong Automobile at a deeper level. After the first batch of orders are landed, he will continue to accelerate the locking of subsequent orders and complete the signing of 800 orders within the year, with an expected order value of 480 million yuan. At the same time, we will focus on promoting the establishment of KD factories in Thailand in the second half of the year, striving to achieve mass production as soon as possible.
